BarBend Preparatory for the Troubled Youth is an expensive home away from home. They deal with ill mannered, and clinically diagnosed children. Select methods will help cure each child’s personal sickness.
The institution is in a secluded area in Presteigne, Powys, in Britain. The buildings are located in the center of a forest, miles from civilization. However, the students have everything they need here. That’s what the high tuition is for anyway. Either the children are filthy rich, or someone who is, sent them here in desperation.
The children will learn to deal with their issues in a healthy manner, or so the parents are thought to believe. The staff is extremely careless, overlooking individual needs and letting the children run wild on the campus. Dorm rooms and roommates have been selected, and yes, the rooms are Coed. Something not mentioned in the brochure.

Logan isn’t just shy, he’s more than just that. He’s terrified of rejection, knowing that there might be a time when someone refuses his friendship. He feels completely inadequate at every aspect of life, and tends to isolate himself from others. Except Braiden. He met Braiden at a young age, instantly finding a connection between them. He looks up to his best friend, though, knowing that Braiden’s just as messed up as he is, but finding that his friend has a feeling of self worth. Once Braiden was shipped to BarBend, Logan’s parents found him in an even worse condition, wasting away alone in his room. For fear of their son, they sent him to the institution, hoping he’d reconnect with Braiden and even come home a changed son.

Talented in guitar, and a sweet talker. Liam comes from a well respected family in his home of Sussex. He was as you say, the ‘Big Man on Campus’. The ladies swooned, and all the guys had his back. He wasn’t a big sports star, and he wasn’t big into school at all. Liam is a burn out, spending his days with a few of his buddies smoking joints, snorting coke, and dropping acid. He had Liv wrapped around his pinky at one point, but lost her when she caught him cheating on her at a party. He’s been terribly heart broken ever since. But, he has a hard time trying to show his feelings, too into himself, really. His parents are disgusted with his behavior and ego, that apparently everyone he meets seems to feed into. He has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, completely oblivious to the fact that there is such a thing as rejection. They sent him to BarBend, hoping someone could reveal to him the truth of his being, but could this be the perfect opportunity to win Liv back?

James was just your average, popular kid in high school. Getting all the girls, going to all the parties, and being well known was something he was used to. He seemed absolutely perfect, until one day, when his parents found out about his little secret. The past three relationships he’d had, ended with disaster. Bruises, cuts, and black eyes everywhere. Behind all his charm, perfection, and ego, was an abusive teenager. His parents, not knowing what to do, sent him to BarBend Prep, in order to ease their own worries. During his stay at the preparatory, he became close friends with Miller. He has also gotten his eye on Emi, being drawn to her calm, carefree, demeanor. Question is, will he be able to last in a relationship, or will it just crumble like all the others?
Upon Fiona’s observation, Imogen felt a bit defensive. She forced a smile at Fiona, hoping there wasn’t venom in her words. “I’m not nervous, I know. I’m glad to be here.” She was indignant. Stopping herself from wincing, Imogen placed another hand over Fiona’s, doing her best to prove to her that things had not changed, they were perfectly fine. There wasn’t a veil of tension hovering in the air, no of course not. “But you said that you needed to talk? That you needed me here…” Imogen pressed on, but felt annoying as she did. At Fiona’s question, she knew the answer. “I’ve been good, lonely. I’ve missed your company, too.” At this, she perked up a bit, noticing slight changes in Fiona’s appearance and demeanor.
Imogen was at a loss for words, her breath was taken straight from her lungs as Fiona’s face appeared behind the door. She knew there was now no turning back, especially out of sheer nerves. She cleared her throat, apprehensively stepping by Fiona into her lavish condo. It had been so long since Imogen had been in this home, which she used to consider her own. The only place she ever felt safe, ever felt loved, and now it was cold. At least, it did at first. But it was beginning to warm Imogen inside out, as she walked over, taking her usual, or what had been considered her usual spot on Fiona’s couch.
She was doing her best to act normal, as if an argument and her erratic behavior had never occurred. A smile was plastered on her face the moment she saw Fiona, which was all she could give her. As Imogen settled against the plush seat, she waited Fiona to join her. “So, how are you?” She asked with all sincerity, through texts, she had come to the conclusion that Fiona was not in a good place. And even through all the turmoil, it pained her deeply. She could never stop caring about Fiona, not ever. She was infatuated by her friendship, wanting nothing more than to be drunk in past conversations and laughter with her.
